Downtown Disney: The Latest: Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club Demolition

Since some of my esteemed Internet colleagues are also using "Downtown Disney Update", it seemed like a good idea to switch titles to avoid confusion, etc. And now the latest from Downtown Disney:
  • Rock 'n' Roll beach club got it's foundations shook and is a pile of scrap like Motion. Gotta say, it's so weird to see such a big gaping hole next to Sosa.
  • The Winnie the Pooh store and Disney $10 are closed and walled up for refurbishment. Nope, I didn't see that one coming either.
  • The Tigger and Piglet photo op is now outside Guest Services.
  • The temporary Lego Imagination tent is up and running, with the original store walled up and starting it's expansion.
  • There are new Tron Mickey ears out, with a blue and orange ring on the ears. Personally, I think it gives the R2-D2 ears a run for their money in the sci-fi fun catagory.
  • On a random note, you can get Tron dog tags made at the Walmart auto engraver machine at the Super Center on 50. Yep, did it.
  • The Cutesters Too Vinylmation series is out at D Street for those into that series. Also, the 9 inch Valentines Cupid is out for the Holiday 2 series. Anybody else think he looks like a blindfolded Baby Herman from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
  • Saw what looked like new Marathon Vinyls in the same cardboard platform style boxes as the special edition Holiday Vinylmations (aka Osbourne Lights Mickey, Toy Soldier, and Choir Tree).
  • Today's pictures are courtesy of the new digital camera from the birthday last week. 7 megapixels, and loving the crispness and color in the photos. Mr. Vivitar point and shoot, you rock!

That's it for this round. My thanks, as always for your eyeballs and time. Cheers!
