Time once again for the idiosyncracies and randomness that make up my charmed life. Here we go:
* Enjoyed the holidays with the folks in town. We toured, we ate, we exhausted ourselves...and we ate plenty of crab legs. ;)
* New Years Eve was spent quietly training and mediating instead of going out to the insanely packed clubs and parks. The intent was to start the new year off right. Well, it almost worked. I wound up fighting sinus sick ever since. So much for good intentions.
* After clam chowder at Cape May Cafe and Fulton's, I'm absolutely hooked on the stuff. Never liked it up until a month ago when I got some at the store. As Fruits Magazine would say "Latest Obsession: Clam Chowder".
* My other latest guilty pleasure is hitting Pizza Hut Express in Target, then grocery shopping. Since there's a mix of the original size Targets and the super centers here in town, you can still catch that awesome Target Popcorn Smell from time to time.
* It seems Blogspot as taken away my bullet lists. As you can see, that's been worked around. ;)
* I'm letting the hair grow out again, shooting for one of those Euro or Emo chopped up styles. Just time for a change after a year of shaved head. If it fails, it's back to shave. We'll see how this goes.
* Most of the major blog updates are done. There are a few things to reconnect, and double check linkwise. I'm happy with the update, especially since it let's me show more of the photography. The Flickr account was a big help and I really like it's placement. It's also nice to have photos more centralized with less linking and way better labeling. Yep, organizational nerd, why do you ask? ;)
* Still chasing random leads with job hunt and still working away on Java. Saw several books at Barnes & Noble that would be good to pick up in time. iPad, iPhone, and Android guides all looked interesting, once I get through my current round of Java, HTML 5, and XML. Nice to have those on the Ipod Touch while I'm out having lunch or whereever. Kudos to O'Reilly for those apps/books.
* Saw some different solar chargers on Think Geek last night. I'm always interested in alternative solar power combined with modern tech lighting options like LED.
* Still hanging in and looking forward to many water parks this summer. More than ready to ride the ProSlide Tantrums at Aquatica as well check out the other Orlando water parks. I'm also ready for some beach/day trips to places like Coco Beach (Hello Jeanie and Major Nelson), and Daytona.
Hope everyone had a good start to 2011, here's hoping for brighter futures and better economy for all of us. And, naturally, my thanks for reading. :)
