Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody! Had a terrific day yesterday touring the Disney resorts on the Monorail loop with a delightful new friend (thanks Jan!). Had a few firsts during this leisurely time out. Had lunch for the first time over at the Polynesian (yes I did make good on that promise to have salad after Monday's "All Stick" meal at Burger King). Rode the water taxi over to Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom for the first time. Also hit four resorts (Contemporary, Poly, Grand Flo, and Wilderness) plus Downtown Disney all in a single day (another first!). Saw my first real hidden Mickey over at Wilderness Lodge too. Once again, my Dansko clogs easily tackled a ton of walking. (I'm so buying another pair later!)
So how does an already great day get even better? By getting a call on a job interview too. Will keep you all posted after Thursday's meet. With any luck I'll be starting my alternate cullinary career by week's end and will celebrate with a Chef Mickey pin if all goes well. If not, it's back to Huntsville, Alabama to regroup per the original plan this week.
All in all, I just could not have asked for a better day.
